Thanks for your understanding about the cancellation of "The Great Valentine Giveaway." I plan on blogging this week about Justin. I want you to know more about him..about the incredible man he was and the great life he lived. I want to tell you stories about the times we spent together. He is part of my life history and it is worth recording.
In the meantime, I'd like to still offer 2 free tickets to one lucky blog reader to attend the opening night of Les Miserables at the Hale Centre Theatre in Salt Lake City. The show begins at 7:30 on Friday, February 14 (Valentine's Day).
Simply leave a comment here WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS and you will be entered into the drawing. Winner will be chosen on my birthday--one week from today! February 10th. The show is going to be INCREDIBLE. And I'm not just saying that.
Much love to you all. It was an intense weekend and I am feeling very worn out. Opening the show in a few weeks is going to be a welcomed distraction. And thank goodness it is entirely in character to cry on stage during the show. I have plenty of material to work with.
I hope you win!
You're so sweet to be thinking of others during your grief. I'd love to take my theater loving sone to see Les Mis for his first time as a special Valentine treat.

ReplyDeleteMy 36th birthday is February 7th! I would love to win the tickets so I could see this live (I have only seen the movie).
I look forward to learning more about Justin. I never knew him or even met him and from what I've read so far I can tell that I missed out but I am grateful that you and others are sharing his story so we can all strive to do more and be better.

ReplyDeleteIt was by complete accident that I ran across your blog about 4 years ago. I wasn't exactly sure what it was, but something drew me towards it and your story. I waited with baited breath to see what insight you were going to share while enduring your unexplainable tragedy. It wasn't until recently I understood that I would be connecting with you on a level I had never expected. A personal one. While it wasn't a child I lost, I did lose my brother to a car accident this past December. It was soon after that I realized I could relate to part of your emotions and was extremely grateful for the strength I drew from your example; I only wish you weren't having to experience another loss, yet again. I know you don't know me, but I want to thank you for what you've done for me. It's funny how sometimes we find strength and connections in places we least expect to find them. I pray The Lord will bless you with comfort and peace as you mourn the loss of a good friend, as well as a continued knowledge of His perfect plan while remembering your sweet Lucy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your performance. I'll sure you'll be amazing!
