We are KIND OF starting to get settled into a routine here, so you might be hearing from me more regularly now. Do people still even read this thing? Raise your hand if you do.
So first things first (and then I'll get into the nitty gritty next week): Halloween.
We have had some really great family themed Halloween costumes the past 4 years and I had no intention of discontinuing that great tradition. I will hold onto family themes for as long as I can. However, Peter has recently become interested in "Ninjago" (is that even how you spell it?) and really wanted to be a ninja for Halloween. We were right on track to be Phineas and Ferb themed this year when he completely derailed us.
Long story short: He was a ninja. Vic was a ninja. Zoë and her monkey scoot were a monkey and I was...Molly. Low key. Stress-free. Simple. And we had a great time.
We started things off with a little photo shoot in the front yard.
Don't look now, there's a monkey on your back.
Followed by a walk around the block.
Peter wanted to hold the little pumpkin on our walk. He said it was Lucy.
Then we headed to Park City for all the amazing festivities there. We ran into "50 Shades of Gray"...
And plenty of other characters.
We also hit up our old neighborhood and saw neighbors and friends out and about.
Every single time Peter approached someone for trick-or-treating he'd say, "I'm a ninja for Halloween." It was adorable. Surprisingly, he didn't eat much of his candy last night and when I went in his room this morning he was making his bed (without being asked), then he went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth and hasn't asked for his candy all day. Very interesting.
I need a nap.
