Do You See What I See?

By Vic - 8:06 PM

This is my daughter.  I love her.  Do you see that smile?  The one that says "life is grand!"?  That says "it is wonderful to be with you!"?  Do you see the twinkle and sparkle in her eye?  The one that says "I know a secret"?  That says "we sure are lucky to be here aren't we"?  That says "just you wait; we are going to have some fun!"?  You can't see her red hair because it is covered by her sister's cap.  It kind of matches my beard and it tells me "Dad I am a part of you.  I represent the very best of you".  It isn't exactly the same color as my beard so that I remember that no matter the similarities my daughter is unique and different from me.  Do you see those cheeks?  They are as wonderful to kiss as you would imagine and they tell me she loves me when I kiss them and nestles closer [though its possible it is a reaction to my beard].  Do you see that face?  The one that day by day is revealing her personality, her love for people, her positive easy-going outlook, her excitement for the world around her?

This is my daughter, one of two very beautiful daughters.  It is so great to have them in my life.  It is so wonderful to be a daddy.  Lots to think about.  Lots to learn.  Lots of love.

  3. What a lovely sweet post....it made tears come to my eyes, seeing that delightful smile and reading your words. Your little daughter is as beautiful and wonderful as are her big brother and sister. You are a very lucky man to have such adorable children and such an amazing beautiful wife. I hope your year is filled with lots of love and adventure. I truly enjoy reading Molly's blog and hearing from you once in a while, too.
