After the End

By Vic - 12:00 PM

I got an email from a filmmaker in L.A. named Andrew last week. He's working on a new film and was wondering if I would be a part of it. He found my blog and was touched by my story, my honesty, and the community (YOU) of hope and support surrounding me.  I feel it an  honor  to be a part of his next project. It goes without saying that it is something very near and dear to my heart.

We spoke on the phone yesterday and I'll tell you this: He is smart and likable and passionate about what he does. This film is going to be wonderful.

Watch this clip and donate if you can. Share the link if you feel like it.

These are stories that need to be told.

UPDATE: I wrote this post a month or so ago. The film is now fully funded and Andrew and his film crew are flying into Park City TOMORROW NIGHT to begin filming. I think it will be interesting to see what happens. I haven't fully visited my grief and my loss in a while. I haven't had the chance to talk about Lucy.

I'll be anxious to share the finished product with all of you. I hope it helps someone out there.

  2. Wow - I think the documentary will be very insightful. After the loss of my dear sweet husband, my adorable father, and wonderful mother...all within 7 months, I can surely attest to the way it was a life altering experience. I look back now still wondering how I survived. I can't imagine the depth of the grief parents must feel over the loss of their child....your child, your dear Lucy. I hope the film provides you an avenue to give voice to your loss and, importantly, how you dealt with such a loss and how you went about finding a "new normal" (or is there such a thing?) Again, you are an amazing person and someone I have grown to admire, even if it is only at a distance because of your blog. Thanks for your wisdom and words....thanks for sharing a little bit of your life with us bloggers.

  3. I love this guy already! wow. This will be amazing and I am so thankful he is doing a doc on grieving and loss of a loved one. Cant wait to see it. Our society is so removed from feelings of death and they are shut out and foreign to us all. So neat he asked your family to be part of it!

How do I sha4re the link or video on my blog? I want to get him more funds!
    Thanks
