30 Days of Thanks #1

Thursday, November 1, 2012

I'm thankful that all of this delicious goodness happened yesterday. Because today I wanted to drop Peter off at the top of a mountain and tell him to find his way home. Such a stinker! I can't even talk about it.

Whoops. This is a thankful post. I'm thankful that Halloween was so fun, so beautiful, so peaceful. I'm very thankful for this.

If you have just lost a child and Halloween was too painful to talk about, I want to offer you some words of hope from someone a few years and tears ahead of you: it will get better. Somehow. Some way. Someday. It will be better.

If you are unemployed, feeling down, depressed, stressed, upset, discouraged, lost--it will be better. I'm thankful to know this. I'll be even more thankful if I can remember it when I need it.

It will be better.

  1. I love this post! You are such an inspiration to many. Thanks for the reminder. I do this 30 days every November since my dad passed away in 2007. I still miss him like crazy, but it does get better.

  2. hahaha... love the guy in the Lance Armstrong costume! David went as doping Lance for Halloween too. But, the long nose was a nice touch :) Glad you had a nice Halloween and you were able to enjoy it and be happy.

  3. I love the 30 days of thanks, I do it every year on facebook :) It brings me back to what is most important.

  4. I love all the photos... what a fun time of year.

  5. Thank you for this post!
2.5 years ago I couldn't find a job after graduating - and thought it would never get better. But it did. :)
All the best to you from Germany!

  6. I love these pics! You guys look so cute! And I love halloween so these are just great!!!
