I Forgot the Punch Line

Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Do you people realize my last post was a joke? I mean...it was meant to be funny. No, not just funny...hilarious. But Vic told me I forgot to include a punch line about the banana slicer so you probably thought I was trying to promote it.

See, if you click on the Amazon link I included at the bottom of the post, you will wet yourself with laughter. Either tears or the other way that fills up your Depends. (I've always wanted to write a sketch for Saturday Night Live about a superhero named "Mr. Depends." He wears only a Depends diaper and when he shows up at the scene of the crime...say, a young broad tied to a railroad track, he stands there with his hands on his geriatric hips with the wind whipping his white hair to and fro. And when the woman on the track sees the train pummeling toward her she looks up and says, "So are you going to save me???" That's when he replies, "Well--that DEPENDS.")

Who am I? Please keep reading.

So anyway, if you want a good laugh, I once again suggest you see my post below.

In other news:

We remodeled Peter's bathroom.

Before and After shots.

I love all the great produce I get in my Bountiful Basket on Saturdays. I love it even more when Vic cooks a delicious Sunday meal with the offerings.

And lastly....AUGH!

  1. Speaking of Amazon, you should get this toilet seat for your new bathroom. We just remodeled our bathroom and it is my favorite part, hands down-- http://www.amazon.com/Bemis-583slow-OOO-Next-Potty/dp/B005CAD3AC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1345564528&sr=8-5&keywords=bemis+toilet+seat
    Bathroom looks beautiful!

  2. Very hilarious! I did not get that it was a joke so thanks for clarifying and for the good laugh to start my day.

  3. Where did u get that shower curtain! I'm a sucker for good stripes!

  4. I am apparently super gullible and thought you were just in love with a banana slicer, lol. The comments were absolutely hilarious. Thank you for making my day brighter.

  5. That is a real smooch! Head tilt and all.

  6. I just figured you were incredibly lazy or stressed (so much so that you needed a special tool to cut a banana)

  7. Love the bathroom redo, way cute! LOL about Peter, you have made me smile today, it's been bad, so thank you!

  8. I don't even know how I found your blog but I just got lost in it. Love your personality that comes right through your words but my heart fell to my stomach when I saw the gorgeous picture of Lucy with dates showing such a short life. I lost a daughter as an infant and I can only imagine the pain you carry with you. Your family is gorgeous and I look forward to reading more. Great to "meet" you and I will end the book I am writing in your comment section now :).
