Presenting...

My daughter's nursery!

Did I have you excited for  a minute? I wish. Today would be a great day to go into labor. I feel peaceful. My house is clean. I'm feeling ready. The sun is shining and I got a good night's sleep.

Sure, Peter has a horrific cough and is on anti-biotics, nebulizer, and ibuprofen...but let's not talk about that. I just bleached my entire house while the boys are napping. Germs be gone!

But let's get to the exciting stuff. I feel over the moon with my nursery. I feel so spoiled to have such a beautiful and completed space! I mentioned my designer, Kalie Mack Graves, once before, but you get to hear a little more from me on her genius.

I showed her some photos of nurseries I loved on Pinterest. We talked about my style, she came to my house, took photos, hung out with me and got to know me for a bit, and we looked at items I already have that could be used in the nursery. AND THEN...we talked about budget.

Well, folks, here's the deal. Whoever comes closest to guessing the exact amount we spent on this nursery will win a free consultation on a room in your home with the genius that is Kalie Mack Graves. I'm telling you that you don't understand what she can do... just trust her! Give her some ideas and let her take the reins. You will not be sorry.

She does far too much work on her own that she should be compensated for (sanding, painting, researching, buying, picking items up, sewing...)

The only catch is that you need to live in the SLC/PC/UT county area. Ogden is too far north, Spanish Fork is too far south.

PLUS--she will throw in an additional $100 worth of time and labor. You might be shocked at how much she can do with a small budget. You could figure out trades, barters, help her find things on Craigslist/garage sales/D.I. and work "together" on gathering items for your space. The possibilities are endless. And in the end, you will have a room that you are so in love with. It will motivate you to work on other projects in your house, get things cleaned an organized, and it will put a smile on your face and spring in your step. I love cleanliness and organization and surrounding myself with beautiful things. This might be my favorite giveaway ever!

I LOVE YOU KALIE MACK GRAVES!

Are you as in love as I am? Don't you love Carrie Butler's photos? I also love the fact that I met Kalie through Carrie. We are a dream team of design/photography/marketing.

So what do you think? How much did we spend?

Here are some hints: Not one piece of furniture was purchased new.

If I knew how to add text to my photo I would put some arrows to each item with little hints. You'll have to scroll back up to study a few things:

Wooden bassinet : free from garage sale
Crib: KSL Classifieds (like Craigslist but local to Utah)
Changing table: KSL
Lamp: D.I.
White hutch: D.I.
Curtains: sewn/Ikea
Pillows: Joann Fabrics
Rug: Ebay
Quilt on crib: from Mother in law
Crib skirt: From a blog reader!
Crib mattress: Hand-me-down from friend
Paint: Home Depot
Bird paintings: By Kalie Mack Graves
Rocking Chair: KSL
Gold mirror: D.I.

I know there are more items, but that's a good start. No dollar amount/guess can be repeated so make sure to look through all the comments. After you've made your dollar amount guess, you must also "like" her page on facebook.

I'm off to see a man about a wallaby.
