Feminine Super Powers

So today while enjoying our Memorial Day celebrations, Molly was stung by a wasp.  Though we weren't able to catch the wasp and check it for abnormalities [ ie radioactivity] I am pretty sure it means that our little girl is going to have wasp-like super powers (she'll probably be able to fly, be super strong and quick etc).  I guess there are two questions:  Do you think Molly is likely to obtain these powers also so that they will be a mother and daughter duo?  And what should our little girl's [and Molly's] super hero name be?  The Wasp?  The Pink Hornet?  Stinger?  Yellow Jacket?  I'm leaning towards Yellow Jacket.  It would make for an easy super hero costume I think.  Plus she could have different versions - a formal jacket, a more casual one, winter, spring etc.

Any suggestions?  I guess we don't have to figure it out too soon since we will want to keep it a secret and not put it on the birth certificate.  Oh, one other question.  What about training?  Is there a super hero preschool?  Will she be more likely to potty train early?  What about special diet?  Weaknesses?  I guess keep her away from wasp and other bug sprays.  Ok, I know that is more than one question but I am really starting to feel the pressure of having a daughter with super powers...

  1. Well, clearly she will have perfect recall, meaning you must be perfect parents from the start because she WILL, later in life, call you on all the little mistakes you make. But relax, she probably won't use her powers. She'll know, especially around the age of 15, that all parents make mistakes and must be forgiven because the mistakes were made with love and the best of intentions. As for her name, it should be a secret to protect her identity, and no, Molly won't have powers as well. That would be too easy. Little girls, in all forms, are tough. Cute...but tough. You think Peter is a challenge...HA. Little girls turn into little devils before they turn into 'little women'. Woe the day that wasp entered you life. Good luck!!! And relax...how hard can it be? I'm praying for you!

  2. Such a cute post. You did a great job! ALL daughters have super powers! They can take their Daddy's heart and wrap it around their finger. Sounds like yours has a good start to that already!

  7. I'll take care of training when she's old enough. Hailey has already started her butt-kicking training.
