Blog Feedback

By Molly Bice-Jackson - 10:24 AM

Do you have some tips for my blog? I worry about how easy it is to read (font, colors, etc.) Is there anything you would change about it? Suggestions? Questions? I'm not going to be changing the header again, but I feel I could do a few more things to make it more clean and stream line.

Maybe I'll even get around to finishing the Frequently Asked Questions tab at the top. It's only taken me 2 years.

I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Maybe I'm silly to think anyone would even care. But whatevs. I'll throw it out there.

In the meantime, enjoy these photos of my darling boy. He has been MUCH better lately and is starting to comprehend so much more--and verbally express himself much more. Now if we could just get the stinker potty trained before little sister arrives...

The skiing is still superb here in Park City if you want to make a reservation to stay in our basement! If you fly in from out of state and go straight to the resort (same day) and show them your out -of -state license you ski for free that day. Just sayin'.

  1. I wonder if that skiing thing would work for me--LOL I am only in Evanston. Born and raised sad story though-- NEVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE HAVE I BEEN SKIING!!!..
Such a disgrace to living so close to Park City.

  2. My advice... do NOT potty train Peter before baby girl arrives. They often revert after baby arrives. If he is ready it will be easy for him to see that little babies wear diapers and big boys wear underwear. :)

  3. I love photos of your little mister Peter... adorable not matter what the attire... even in snow.

I wish I could consider skiing... but I value my life.

  4. I love your blog, the pictures, and the way you write because it's easy to follow, entertaining, and funny. I love hearing your stories and love the Meet My Readers posts, too. At the risk of sounding slightly stalker-ish, I almost feel like you are a famous person. I would be so excited if I ever ran into you somewhere and probably be like one of those girls you recently posted about approaching you out of the blue. To be honest, yours is usually the only one I read regularly anymore... even though you don't know me. :)

  5. I've lived in Utah my entire life and have never been skiing- I went snowboarding once. I probably should be kicked out of the state :) I have no advice for revamping your blog, but I do love reading it. You guys have way more snow than we do (in Springville) it makes sense but WOW. GL with potty training!

  6. The blog is perfection. I wouldn't change, add, or delete a thing. Love the pictures of Peter...a doll baby anyway you look at him. Oh to ski again. I based my college career on ski resorts...4 different states. I'm about to turn 60 and I still dream about skiing!!! Have a great weekend!

  7. I LOVE reading your blog, but sorry no tips from me on how to change it I'm such a dummy I can't even figure out how to add pictures on mine lol~! I would LOVE to ski, I used to all the time but I have a bad back and can no longer do it. It was fun to see pictures of you and your pregnant self out there doing it though...so JEALOUS!

  8. I love your blog as is. I get super excited when there's an update. I used a sticker chart for potty training with a weekly toy award. I'm all about bribery. My daughter was so proud of that chart. (I just used poster board and bought every character sticker I could find) she showed everyone. Try googleing 3 day potty training. It's a bit like potty training boot camp but it worked for me! (well, my daughter. I've been accident free for years)

  9. Dear Sweet Molly,

I have been a loyal blog reader since Lucy's accident and have never left a comment. BUT....I must offer my advice on this one. First of all, your blog looks wonderful! NOw, about the potty training....As a mother that has four kids six and under, I would just like to tell you that DIAPERS ARE SO MUCH EASIER! Going to Target or the grocery store or anywhere else for that matter is much easier if you are not running to the potty every ten minutes (or five or four or three...) or cleaning up pee off of the floor of Target (yes, I speak from experience). My advice would be to wait, wait, WAIT! Ok, I will humbly step off of my soap box now, seeing as your weren't even asking for potty training advice anyway :-) By the way....Peter is adorable!

  10. Blog tips.....I think it's great doesn't really need to be changed. I love love love the header! I do have some presonal prefrences and that's exactly what they are what I prefer not that they are necessarily better. I would change the margins to the left instead of centered, but I am kinda werid that way and like it all lined up (except for headers and pictures, center is good for them).

  11. I find the font quite hard to read (I'm on a laptop) but it's worth the effort :)

  12. I think it's all great! I have never had a problem reading or navigating your blog. As far as potty training, we love the potty time potty watch! It's awesome! I got Finn's at Kid to Kid, but I've also seen them at Harmons. Works like a charm!
