Now and Then

I'm finally back on solid ground. In my old age, I have somehow come to hate, detest, loathe, despise and be more than somewhat fearful of flying. Six flights in 2 weeks was no easy feat for me. Four of those with a 2 yr. old. I would MUCH rather run a marathon than fly. I'd rather clean my house, sit through three hours of church and a long list of other things. However, I love being in new places and exploring and being away from home and my comfort zone. It thrills me. So flying is the price I pay for that.

Los Angeles was amazing. Who goes on a five day vacation by themselves? We all should! The soul needs it. More on that later.

For now, I'm going to share some photos of my last two trips to St. Louis. We got to go as a family in late April to help my dad with a music festival, then Peter and I went again 6 weeks later. It is easy to tell which photos are from which trip according to the length of Peter's hair.

We had such a great time. My sister's house is magical. Not only is it beautiful (I didn't get enough photos of her house--you would love it), but her refrigerator is always filled with food. It somehow replenishes itself. I was amazed. I ate like a queen. Peter had the time of his life and did great sleeping in the dark laundry room. He loves his cousin Jack and is so sweet with baby Henry. It shocks me. We were so spoiled and I can't wait to go back again (after the summer swelter).

Also, could this post been any more poorly written?

  1. Peter is so delectable I can't stand it. And the HAIR omg. How is he not starring in shampoo commercials? I just want to peench his cheeks. (Also, I think my one year old has a crush on him. She gets all moony-eyed whenever she sees photos of him.)

  2. Wonderful photos, and so touching!

  3. Such a FUN-FUN photo share... Thank you Miss Molly!

  4. I have the same feelings about flying. It's a necessary evil.

  5. I really love your posts and all of the pictures!! Love it all. :) Thanks for letting me blog-stalk a bit

  6. Did Amy not let you take any pics of her? You visited one of my favorite people in one of my favorite cities. And I recognize all the places you visited. I'm glad you had a great time!
