From Baby to Man-Child

By Molly Bice-Jackson - 3:40 PM

Vic's youngest sister, Peggy, {whom I fondly refer to as "Beauty Queen"... she looks like Liv Tyler, people} got married last weekend. This meant that my parental units got to spend a lot of time with the Poop Dog. On one such occasion, the Nance decided to take matters into her own hands and give P Dub a little trim. {Do I need to make a list of all the nicknames we have for Peter? I assume you are following. We call him P Dub--ok I call him P Dub as of two seconds ago because it just came to me--because his middle name is William, but I digress}. The "trim" turned my little sun-loving surfer/skater/snowboarder/long, flowing, beauty blonde child -baby, into Corky St. Clair the Man-Child. When Russ and Nance met up with us downtown to drop off the little booger, we laughed so hard I thought I was going to tinkle on Temple Square. (Which rhymes with Corky St. Clair).

In order to rectify the situation, Pooper Bear was taken the next day to Cookie Cutters and turned into a small brunette man.

I've had to re-bond with my new child. Now that it has been a week, I am almost used to it. Some people like it shorter and have been waiting for this day (I won't name names...ahem...my father-in-law), but most people miss his long locks and are anxious to see it grow out over the summer. That would include his mother. Thanks for the laugh, Mom! So, so funny.

  1. It is amazing what a hair cut can do to a little boy... he does look older. Is that ok with you Mommy Molly?

  3. I noticed several colors of suckers.
I love the look he gives her when she combs his eyes.
I need to break down and take Felix to a real haircut place. He needs it, but I don't because I don't want him to look grown up either.

  4. So cute! And you took him to Brie!! She's our favorite! Love that you can see your reflection in the mirror as you take Peter's picture. What a handsome little guy! Loved his long locks, but he pulls off the short look too!

  5. Haha, that made me smile!
We always have the same problems with my little brother (who actually reminds me a little bit of Peter- or better Peter reminds me of my little brother when I see pictures): People keep thinking he's a girl and so we have to cut his hair from time to time but the first week after the cut is always... hard. The last hair cut was 2 weeks ago now so it's ok again. =) Same will happen to you, I'm sure.
    Have a nice week!

Oh, and the Easter pictures are SO cute!
