Peter's Party {And what a Pooper}

By Molly Bice-Jackson - 5:00 AM

I'm too lazy to put the photos in proper order. But I'm not too lazy to let you know that I made all the decor and the cake myself. (Technically, I made the birthday boy too). We missed Nana. She was still in the hospital. But I'm happy to report she is at home recovering. It is going to be a long and slow road for her. Mission plans have been put entirely on hold for now. I love her and am glad it wasn't her time to see Lucy just yet.

Peter was in hog heaven all night. I'm grateful for such supportive family and friends who love and honor Peter's life and understand the significance of this birthday. Just as each of us should be loved and remembered.

No, we didn't plan on wearing "matching" colors that coordinated with the decor. Sometimes you just get lucky. Or look cheesy.

  4. Observation...What a wonderful milestone Peter (and you and Vic) have reached! Opinion...these pictures tell a story of happiness and celebration and I love them. Unsolicited Advice...NEVER cut Peter's hair. I can picture him graduating with this hair. I can see his wedding... What I can't see is this little ragamuffin with a regular boy's haircut! Have a great day!!!

  5. YAY JAN! I love your comment! I have given him roughly 10 "haircuts" (mostly trims, but some major ones where I've taken inches off). And each time I do, I regret it. I am definitely keeping the long hair!

    Thanks you guys, for your love and enthusiasm about Peter's life and love for our family.

    And thanks to my friend Rachael for taking all the great photos!!

  23. Tell your parents that Missions are overrated. My parents left theirs early and got divorced. :)
