Livin' la Vida Local

I thought I was so clever coming up with this title, and then I remembered we weren't living like locals, we decided to live like tourists. I guess you could say we were living like crazy locals. But whatev...

So Friday night we decided to head to Main Street and be tourists. I love seeing Park City through tourists eyes, especially Main Street (and the ski resorts and lodges). It really is a magical place.

Peter loved all the lights and all the attention on Main. The drunk woman doting over him was especially entertaining. At one point we hopped on the free trolley and that's when he really went over the moon.

We enjoyed the art exhibits, treats from the chocolate factory, people watching, shopping at a new boutique I love, drooling over the smells of the restaurants, and watching the joy on Peter's face. I love when spontaneous ideas work out.

I realize I look like a deer in headlights in most photos. People say big eyes are beautiful, but I've had enough mean comments about my big eyes that I have become a little self conscious of them and sometimes even try a slight squint when my photo is being taken. I'm also too lazy, and my computer too slow, to do any editing of the red eyes. So there ya go...

Like a kid in a candy store...

On the trolley: He was a little hesitant at first. (Overjoyed, giddy, ecstatic. Is this a choo-choo or a bus??! I LOVE IT)

But soon he got comfortable and thought walking around on the moving trolley was a grand idea.

P.S. I finally updated A Good Grief with an excellent and moving post about losing a parent. Please take the time to read it and make a comment. It means so much to those who take the time to contribute to the website, and provides so much support.
I will also be posting photos soon of the two latest headstones that we were able purchase because of donations from you all. What a wonderful gift you have given these families.

ALSO--did you know that no one bid on our final auction items this fall? Now that Christmas is here, are you sure you don't want to 'purchase' something (you'd be purchasing two things--the auction item and a portion of a headstone for someone's angel child. Really. It's a huge deal).

  1. I'm lovin your curly golden locks!

  2. The whole chocolate factory seems like something I would enjoy... I love chocolate. Too bad its not best friends with WW.

I love Mister Peters haircut. He is adorable.
