30 Days of Thanks #2

I'm really thankful for my backyard. While the pooper baby bear was napping today, I laid out on my master bedroom deck on Lucy's blanket, my head resting on Vic's pillow, read my book, then closed my eyes and let my soul absorb the sunshine. I love it that we have a pond and a stream right outside our window. I'll admit that the drowning/danger factor of the water gives me a bit of anxiety and concern, but it is beautiful all the same.

I think a leaf rake is in our near future.

  1. you don't need to move to New England... your back yard looks just like ours did there!

  2. I felt peaceful as you described your afternoon... moments while Peter was sleeping. It sounded wonderful.

  3. Since moving to Georgia I have developed a new love that I think I should share with you. It's name is leaf blower. :) I think you might love it just as much. Don't know how I made it through the fall without it.
