And Much Fun Was Had by All

July was a busy month. It was a great month filled with family reunions, friends, final shows, beautiful summer storms, great food, and always--always lots of kisses and cuddles with the little poop dog. Many of Vic's siblings were in town during July and we got to have a lot of Jackson time. Birthday parties, movies, fireworks, sleepovers with cousins, and did I mention that Vic and Peter went to Montana for four days? That's right. I had four days at home alone. I have two words for you. CLEAN HOUSE. They had a great time and thankfully escaped the bear attack by one day in Cooke City, near West Yellowstone. I hear Peter was in heaven. Dirt, sticks, and rocks.

Here are a few snippets from our life last month:

And here we have our little redneck. Shirtless, but not gutless.

A little rock climbing in the yard.

Helping mommy with some much needed landscaping.

His first joyride with an older woman. He was in heaven. Or should I say women? Lauren and Maddie. The Hunt family comes to their Park City home from Arizona each summer to escape the horrific Arizona heat. I have severely threatened them each time they go back home to the desert, but I can't seem to get them to stay.

With cousin, Ethan. Peter was king of the rocking chair. I'm telling you, my nephew Ethan is the most well-behaved, easy to be around, darling, little boy. He was such a great helper and Peter and I really missed him when he left.

At a Bee's baseball game in SLC with Vic's law firm. Peter loved watching the giant bee (mascot), and Vic and I stuffed ourselves with fattening baseball food. I had a great time talking with some of the other attorneys from his firm and their spouses.

A beautiful Park City summer storm. The lighting was incredible.

Hot tubbing it at Grandma and Grandpa Jackson's.

Visiting Lucy's tree at the park.

The sweetest thing on earth. Much more edible than the processed cereal he is consuming in this photo. I can't think of anything more delectable at this moment than Peter. And maybe Nutella.

  1. My husband and I visited Park City a couple of weekends ago! It was beautiful, and I must say, as we drove around, I thought of you and your sweet family!

  2. Peter is getting so BIG!! Great pictures Molly! I have become Meme again for the 5th time. Mya joined my little family on the 17th, a little early!! Scares me to think about how fast they grow... Enjoy him!

  3. I love summer; it goes by way too fast! My family and I were in Yellowstone the first week of August and actually saw a bear, twice, while there! But, it was a young one and looked more like you should cuddle it than run away, although we did NOT leave the car! Peter is darling!

  4. That picture of you and Vic together is so great! you should frame it.

  5. I love reading your captions because I can honestly hear you speaking them. You have an amazing way of putting things that describes them prefectly. And look how long your hair is getting! Are you growing it out? I'm sorry that I missed your call yesterday..Ryan and I got to go on a date! But I loved listening to your message and I will call you back tomorrow during Rulan's slot of time today is almost gone and I want to ensure that we have plenty of time to catch up. Till then, I do love your pictures-I miss park city and going running with you!

  6. Hi, I just wanted to let you know, that you are a huge inspiration to me.
Thanks for being so honest and open with your feelings, you are amazing.

  7. "I had four days at home alone. I have two words for you. CLEAN HOUSE."

Molly, your house is always clean anyway. I seriously doubt the lack of Vic and Peter made any noticeable difference. Now, if you mentioned the lack of our kids? There's a difference I can understand. Luv you.

    - Chris

  8. Looks like so much fun, you all look happy and healthy. We'd love to see you guys sometime soon.

  9. Hi Molly,

I hope you don't mind- I quoted you on my blog today. I loved what you said a while back about birthdays being important, that they represent a miracle: another year together. Thanks for your words and wisdom. :)
