Bice Bice Boise

The 4 Bice siblings.
Russ(my dad), Georgia, Jesse, Zella

Not pictured: Cousins. Umm..not sure how that happened. And there were A LOT of them. My dad is the youngest of 4 children. His older sister, my Aunt Georgia, had 7 children. The reunion was held at her ranch in Sweet, Idaho, just outside of Boise. Several of Georgia's children (my cousins) are GRANDPARENTS. It was so wonderful to catch up and get to know them now that I am an adult. I always thought my cousin's children were my cousins. I'm just now starting to figure things out.

My family held an auction and all the money raised went to my Good Grief foundation. It was such a touching surprise. We raised over 400 dollars. I was quite overwhelmed at their generosity and love. Thank you. I'm anxious to report back about the families we assist with headstone purchases.

Also not pictured: White water rafting on the Payette. I was completely knocked out of the raft and Vic didn't even notice. I lost a favorite hat, but gained some great memories.

Food poisoning and no sleep. I won't say anything more about that. UGH!

It was a great trip.

  1. I guess it is pointless to say that I wish I would've known you were in town. I know how difficult it is to find time away from family...at family reunions. Would love to see you sometime, though.

  4. Hi, Molly:

You don't know me. My name is Terrah Conrad Harper, and I'm from Rexburg, Idaho. I was in a fireside group with your dad at Ricks / BYU-Idaho, and I went to Madison High School. I've known of your family for several years, and I think your blog is awesome.

A sweet 18-month-old girl from Rexburg passed away yesterday after complications from nearly drowning. Preslee Jo Sullenger was life-flighted to Primary Children's Medical Center where she spent a week before she went home to Heavenly Father.

I'm writing to you because I know that you've also lost a beautiful child, and you have given hope to so many people. Patrick and Ashley (Preslee's parents) have been so stalwart during this difficult time, and I know it would help them to hear your story. There is a wonderful and special bond that you share with the Sullengers, and I know you can offer them great help.

Hearing about your experience and the Sullengers' experience makes me hold my 10-month-old son longer, give him more kisses and exercise more patience with him. Thank you for example and courage. I appreciate your blog and your cheerful, positive spirit.

If you are able, please visit the Sullengers' blog. It's found at http://patrickandashley.blogspot.com.

Thanks again, Molly. You are great.

    Sincerely,

    ~ Terrah Harper :)
