30 Days of Thanks #16

By Molly Bice-Jackson - 5:25 PM

Yesterday was a crippity crappity day.

I couldn't sleep Sunday night.

I'm a mental mess sometimes. Is it Adult A.D.D.? Post traumatic stress? Chemical imbalance? Hormones? Something I ate? Vic's twitching?

It wasn't easy to think about my blessings yesterday. I was grump extreme.

Nothing seems right or good or clear when you have no sleep.

At the end of the day, if I had to pick one thing I was thankful for it would be this:

Friends.

I already used friends as one of my 30 thanks? Oh, well, is there a rule that I can't use the same thing twice?

I didn't think so.

I'm so thankful for friends. AND family. (Ok, so that's two things)

DOCTOR friends (oh..yessss), patient friends, (not Doctor's patients), funny friends, generous friends.

Moms and sisters who let me vent and complain and whine-even though they've heard it a thousand times before.

Thank goodness for friends and family who put up with me.

That would include Vic. He may have uttered, "Ok, let's get you to bed. Obviously nothing I do or say is going to be right so let's just end this day asap."

And did Mr. Sandman make an appearance after my 9 p.m. sleeping pill consumption? (Followed by 2 melatonin, 2 magnesium, lavender lotion, lavender oil, and trauma life oil peppered into the oil diffuser) Umm....sort of. He was tardy. He showed up at TWO A.M. I'm either going to be admitted into a nut house or fall over dead from exhaustion.

My friends and family do so much for me. I wish they could sleep for me. That's one thing I have to do all on my own.

Let's make it three things:

And technically this falls under the "Friends" category. This was made by some friends of ours from L.A. Hilar.

  7. I found your blog through a friend and have been wanting to comment for a while but didn't know how to do it or what wonderful thing I should say to you. I think about you and your pain all the time. I have prayed and will continue to pray for you to endure this. You are a doll and your blog has got to be so helpful to so many people. You are very talented in so many ways. I pray for you and your family's recovery and that you may find and continue to find peace. And sleep. I love you as a sister in the gospel and through the blogging world and as mothers. Keep plugging along, you are a gift to the world. I am sending you well wishes.
