30 Days of Thanks #12

By Molly Bice-Jackson - 8:25 PM

Today was a great day.

I'm thankful for fun-filled days!

9:30 a.m.
Off to a yummy birthday breakfast for our Relief Society President/Saint Jenny Towery that I organized. This woman is amazing. A quick run-down of the things she's done for us.

-There EVERY step of the way with Lucy's crisis. Sewed the delicate, beautiful, perfect dress that Lucy was buried in...without even being asked. She just knew.
-Organized and decorated Lucy's amazing Peter Pan Christmas Tree
-Helped me sew pillows for my front room
-Helped me sew duvet cover for my bed
-Sewed in a zipper on my favorite dress
-Shortened several pairs of my pants
-Food Deliveries
-Phone calls
I could go on. And on. And on.
What did my mom and I get her? Brand new Gingham scissors. Cut like buttah.

11:00
Get home, put Peter down for nap and work for an hour and a half on A Good Grief. I hope you read today's post by NieNie.

12:30
Race down the mountain to a business meeting downtown with Luna Webs. (shh...more exciting projects!)

2:30
Walk in the beautiful Fall weather downtown with dear friend Shad and have lunch.

4:00
Surprise Nana at her downtown office (she's a therapist for LDS Family Services)

5:00
Home again. Feed the Pedromeister. Throw on dance clothes and out the door to dance class (drop Peter off at the Flints)

7:30
Held my sleeping baby in the rocking chair. Heaven.

8:00
Vic at Costco. Little Dumpling is asleep.

A great, great day.

NOT the best photo of me. But when I was looking for a photo for this post I came across this one from a show I did at the Mayan in 2002. And since I mentioned ye old dance class tonight...maybe its fitting?

  1. Dance class, really?? What kind of dance class? I have been considering getting back in a tap class. I took tap for many years growing up...from 6 - 19 and the community college offers a tap class for beginners and intermediate....I think it would be great exercise and I really need that! 2. I never knew you did a show at the Mayan. You have probably done shows everywhere! I never considered it before but I like your hair darker better.

  3. I just found your blog from Sue, and truly, it will be on my faves list. Thanks for your gratitude days, and for your new blog. Just read Nie's post, and she is wise, with wisdom coming through such difficult experience.
    Looking forward to reading more!
