Thanks for a delicious breakfast. Thanks for getting Lucy ready for church. Thanks for crying when I sang in Sacrament Meeting and telling me it was beautiful. Thanks for cleaning the house. Thanks for helping my mom prepare for dinner. Thank you for the massage. Thank you for liking my shorter-than-most-boys haircut. Thank you for all the new furniture for our new house. Thank you for treating me like a queen. (Minus when you fart in my general direction or disagree with anything I say). I love you.
Thank you for shaping me into the woman I am today. You are so talented and intelligent. You have been through so many difficult things in your life and I admire your strength, your humor (it's KIND OF starting to rub off on Vic...we'll get there), and your wisdom. I know that many people's lives are blessed because you are their counselor. I love you.
I'm so glad we get to go through this journey of motherhood together. It is so fun to talk to you on the phone and hear all about your growing boy. You, like mom, are so intelligent and hard-working. I know you are an incredible mother. I love you.
EMILIE AND MARIE-
The women in my brothers' lives. You are wonderful examples of patience. (You are married to my brothers...you have to have a lot of it). Emilie, you are brave and strong. Don't ever give up and keep loving your two beautiful girls. They are blessed to have you as their mother. Marie, even though you aren't a mother YET, you and Bice are going to be great parents. Full of humor and wit and ready to handle any challenge with ease and laughter. Thank you both for loving me and helping me be a better mother to Lucy. I love you.
MARLENE, JENNY, JOY, WENDY, & PEGGY-
I am so lucky to have you as my "in-laws". Though, I just consider you my sisters. I am so grateful that Marleney raised such wonderful daughters (and a wonderful son for me to marry!) You are all incredible examples of strength to me and you have all helped me through difficult times with wonderful words of advice and encouragement. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. You deserve it! I love you guys.
The only other woman in the world who understands what it's like to be married to a Jackson boy. I don't know if you agree, but I think we are so much alike in certain ways. It's been fun for me to see you grow in your role of Mother. Isn't it just the craziest thing? Little Thacks is lucky to have you. Love you too!!
AND TO ALL THE OTHER WONDERFUL WOMEN IN MY LIFE-
Thank you for showing me how to be a better mother and a better person by they way you live. How wonderful to be going through this life together-learning and sharing and strengthening each other as we go. I need all of you , as you all contribute something unique and special to my world.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
OH, and THANK YOU, Mother Nature, for waiting until TODAY to snow so that I could have a snow-free Mother's Day yesterday. You are one sick woman.
