30 Days of Thanks

I am thankful for a great neighbor. Little Miss Angela Parentti. You couldn't ask for a better neighbor. How many times have I knocked on her door because I'm in the middle of cooking and discover that I'm out of a certain ingredient? Countless. She watches Lucy for me when I'm in a pinch. She's quiet, she's Greek (that means she makes amazing food!), she's also Italian, which means she makes amazing food...which she obviously shares with us. AND, she gives me all of her hand me down clothes! Just yesterday I went upstairs to return her floor fan that she had loaned us during our plumbing crisis, and while there, I thought to myself, "I am so grateful for Angela!" You just can't put a price on good neighbors!

I am also thankful for good babysitters. Lucy has a different sitter for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays...and each day she has amazing sitters! Mondays she's with Abbey Tingey for an hour, Tuesdays Mikayla Rasmusen for 2 hours, and Wednesdays the Foote Family for an hour. She and I both love them all! She always cries when it's time to go home. I'm so thankful I can leave her with warm, caring, dependable, trustworthy people. What a blessing and relief to know that she is safe and happy. And what a blessing to me to be able to use that time to develop my talents and enjoy doing what I love.

Getting ready to go see the babysitter...Goldfish in hand. I know, I know..she's the cutest thing you've ever seen.

  4. Molly, I guess we both do have good taste in husbands. I knew you had a thing for Matt Damon...but I didn't know how deep it ran. You are a crack up! And yes, your daughter is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I'm jealous of your neighbor...we have no neighbors. We live in the country, which I love, but a neighbor would be nice. Good for you!
